There has been a majority of news exploding over the web about whether Star Wars Battlefront content, this month, will be free or not. EA and Dice’s Star Wars Battlefront has released some insight news regarding the free content patches and the future of season pass DLC.
The Star Wars Battlefront free update for the end of January are re-introducing the survival map, Raid Camp, as multiplayer content involving most of the petite and competitive game modes. Luke Skywalker and Han Solo will have new outfits from Empire Strikes Back to be worn whenever a hero is selected on the map, Hoth. The smaller details to be fixed with the free patch would be to improve the quality of guns and multiplayer modes, along with enabling better customization for private party groups or community challenges. Also, in February and March other free updates were hinted at and will entail vast multiplayer maps well-suited with game types such as Walker Assault or Fighter Squadron.
Only three of the four, future DLC packs for Battlefront are were announced with detail and dispersed throughout the year and beginning of next. These four packs can be described from the list below:
- Outer Rim: Sullust and Tatooine (Jabba’s Palace – (March 2016)
- Bespin or Cloud City – (Summer 2016)
- Death Star – (Fall 2016)
- TBA – (early 2017)
