They need to cool it

A man promoting a local Turning Point USA chapter on a public sidewalk near Point Park University in Pennsylvania was recently harassed and mocked by students who opposed his views. The man had set up a small stand along the sidewalk, where he spoke with passersby about launching a campus chapter. Some students approached to question his views and debate the organization’s messaging, while others simply walked by, yelling out their disagreement.

Things eventually escalated when a student using crutches suddenly grabbed the man’s sign while he was distracted in conversation with another person and ran away. The man immediately chased the student across the road, demanding the sign be returned and warning that he would call the police if it was not.

The student ran for a short distance, then circled back toward the stand and tossed the sign several feet away, telling him to “go catch it.” When the man finally caught up, he asked if the student wanted to “say anything to the cops,” to which the student replied, “How about when you chased down a student and recorded?” implying he had become the aggressor.

Students Claim He Was Disturbing the Peace

Moments later, police arrived at the scene, though it remains unclear who contacted them. Officers told the students that the man was not committing any crime and that he was standing on public property, which he was legally allowed to use.

Several students disputed that explanation. They argued that the sidewalk belonged to the school and insisted the officer had previously said it was private property. The officer acknowledged he had misspoken earlier but reiterated that the location was public and that the man had a right to be there.

The exchange grew more heated as students accused the man of disturbing the peace. When asked by the officer what exactly the man had done to cause a disturbance, one student alleged, without providing evidence, that he had made comments about gay people not being together, while another said he had “literally chased down a student earlier.”

Since the officers didn’t fault the man for being there, other students soon joined in to harass him. At one point, a student appeared to issue a threat to him because he was recording, saying, “Hey be careful with that. If I saw you doing that I might shoot you dead in the street.”

Netizens’ Reaction to the Pennsylvania Campus Incident

On X, many people condemned the students’ behavior, with one commenting that “liberals continue to prove through their actions that they have nothing of value to say.” Another person added, “What a sad bunch of losers. Bright futures ahead with those Gender Studies degrees.”

Some viewers found it ironic that the student who ran off with the sign later framed themselves as the victim. “Steal the sign. Play victim. Call the cops. Unreal,” one netizen remarked. Someone else chimed in, “Classic aggressor flips to victim card.”

Others questioned the student’s mobility after seeing them run with crutches. “Did we just witness a person pretending to be a disabled person? Most people in crutches can’t run,” one comment read.
