It’s absolutely insane to me that some people in the world genuinely believe their words have no impact, particularly when they are homophobic and accuse others of being pedophiles. I’ve come across my fair share of insane Karens and inept racists saying things they’re likely to regret, but I can’t say I’ve seen it happen at a Jersey Mike’s. One man in New Jersey managed to record a woman going absolutely insane because a trainee accidentally added mayonnaise to her order. Yeah, that really sucks for a number of reasons, but not to the point where it’s justifiable to be weird to strangers.
In the video, a woman is seen harassing the employees at a Jersey Mike’s in New Jersey after one of them accidentally added mayonnaise to her sandwich. While this can be a serious issue, especially for those with allergies, the woman did not simply ask the employee to remake her order. Instead, she began to overreact, threatening the employee and claiming she would ensure she lost her job.
Things only get worse when the person recording, a man sitting inside the restaurant, approached the screaming woman. She had been yelling at the employees for a while, and he attempted to de-escalate the situation. However, this quickly turned into the angry woman calling him a homophobic slur as well as a pedophile. Popular TikToker TizzyEnt got wind of the situation and created a response video, airing her information. As one commenter put it best, “sigh I’ll say it again, FREEDOM OF SPEECH DOES NOT EQUAL FREEDOM FROM CONSEQUENCES.”
In his response video, TizzyEnt shows the original footage and pairs it with his opinion. He points out that the Karen is wearing a shirt that bears the logo of what might be the company she works with. His content typically revolves around ensuring that employers of people with terrible opinions know exactly who is working for them.
According to other commenters, not only has her place of work been notified of her actions online, but they’re also attempting damage control by deleting comments directly about the video. Hopefully, she’ll think twice before behaving that way in public ever again!
