A workplace fridge can be quite the Pandora’s box, as multiple employees share and use the same appliance for storing their food. Well, at least food is what you’re supposed to store in a fridge, but one worker at a company in New Mexico decided otherwise. Someone in the office put a pair of dirty shoes beside other workers’ meals and leftover containers. The poster doesn’t elaborate on whether this is a joke or an indirect insult, but one thing’s for sure: the fridge is going to smell nasty.
“Imagine opening the office fridge and finding… this,” reads the r/mildlyinfuriating post’s title. Someone must have found the prank funny, as they left a Post-it note that read, “And the purpose of this is ….? LOL made my day!” Some in the post’s comment section were rather disgusted by the shoes in the fridge, with one commenter exclaiming, “What kind of stupid selfish prick puts their nasty shoes in the fridge?” Another agreed, saying, “‘made my day’? that would piss me off, some inconsiderate useless idiot putting their nasty shoes in the refrigerator at the office? I would have thrown them in the trash.”
