Buckle up Nintendo fans! We’re going to be getting a brand new Nintendo Direct on February 17, and this time… It’s a long one.

New Smash Bros Fighter???

Announced via Nintendo’s Official Twitter earlier today. We discovered that Nintendo fans would not have to wait long until their next big direct.

Tune in 2/17 at 2 p.m. PT for a #NintendoDirect livestream featuring roughly 50 minutes of information focused on available games like Super #SmashBrosUltimate and games coming to #NintendoSwitch in the first half of 2021.https://t.co/fbG3hEtD0Q pic.twitter.com/w8J6lbdIkQ

Nintendo disclosed in the Tweet that the live stream will be “roughly 50 minutes of information focused on available games like Super Smash Bros Ultimate“. This could mean that another character announcement is on the horizon. After the show stealer that was Sephiroth’s reveal last December during the Game Awards, it’ll be interesting to see how they top that.

New Nintendo Direct Game Reveals?

Tomorrow’s Direct will feature information on “games coming to Nintendo Switch in the first half of 2021”. This means we could be getting some updates on games such as Bravely Default 2 and Monster Hunter Rise. I’m hoping for a shadow drop announcement of some brand new game but that’s just wishful thinking on my end.

The Direct will be the first standard Direct since September 2019, expectations will likely be very high. The last Direct gave us announcements such as Xenoblade Chronicles: Definitive Edition which released in March of last year. Animal Crossing: New Horizons also received a huge infodump, the game released to huge acclaim in March of last year also.

The February 17 Nintendo Direct will be available to watch via their official site, as well as Official Nintendo accounts such as YouTube and Twitch.

Nintendo Direct 2.17.2021

Will you be tuning in to tomorrow’s Nintendo Direct? I’m very excited to see anything after such a long time of radio silence. Do you have any predictions on if they will announce a new Smash Bros Ultimate fighter? And if so who do you think will join the roster? My money is on Cooking Mama!

Anyway, let me know in the comments below! Let’s all speculate together!
