It is completely normal to admire someone’s car or even ask to take pictures in front of it. What isn’t normal is asking to take pictures in front of a car you like while holding two machetes. A New York car owner was filming his car when a stranger came up to him and asked to take some pictures. He says that he is just there to pay his respect and doesn’t mean anything bad, though the guy then proceeds to ask the owner if he can take some photographs while holding his machetes. At this point, you aren’t seeing any machetes, and neither is the owner. He gives his approval probably thinking that the guy was joking. Well, he wasn’t. He lifts up his shirt and pulls from under his clothes two shiny machetes. The only valid response was the owner saying, “Holy sh*t.”
Surprisingly, this seems like a normal event for the guy holding the machetes because he seems extremely comfortable and confident holding them. He even starts posing while the owner takes some pictures of him. The New York car owner is actually laughing while this whole thing is happening. You can’t help but wonder if he was laughing because he was scared and didn’t know the right way to react. The stranger even had some jokes in him because he pretended to be scratching the car with one of his machetes. Well, at least he was having fun scaring the innocent owner. Even passersby were weirded out by the situation and started filming as well. I wish that I had the composure of the owner as he tells the guy “give me another pose.” I can’t deny, however, that the pictures did look pretty good.
People Reacting to the New York Stranger’s Machetes
The New Yorker wasn’t the only one who found this whole interaction bizarre. People in the comments had thoughts of their own about it. One person told the man, “It a good thing u said yes.” The owner’s response? “I don’t think I had a choice.” Since the stranger looked kind of crazy, someone else said, “I bet bro has 17 warrants.” 17 sounds like too little, if you ask me. What made matters more terrifying was the fact that the guy said there was some blood on the machetes. This part made one Instagram user leave a comment saying, “There’s blood on the machete… photographer – give me another pose.”
The video got popular enough that it was shared on Reddit as well. Since the stranger had some moves in him while he was holding the two machetes, someone wrote, “Bro’s level of showmanship is unparalleled.” Another person claimed that he wouldn’t have been afraid. In fact, they said that they could send the machetes’ owner to the hospital with “one spinning kick.” Yeah, that’s not going to happen. Someone agreed with me as they replied, “He’ll chop your leg off before you reach him my boy.” One Redditor also said, “He just wanted to make some friends.” What happened to making friendships by saying hello how are you? New York is definitely full of surprises. My only question is how does the guy manage to sit while he has these machetes on him?
