Kamala Harris is trending after remarks at the National Action Network Convention in New York, where she said she might run for president in 2028. Harris’ comments came after Al Sharpton asked whether she plans to launch another White House campaign following her defeat in the 2024 election.

In response to Sharpton’s question, Harris said she might run for president again, stating, “Listen, I might, I might. I’m thinking about it. I’m thinking about it,” as the crowd cheered. Her comments come amid ongoing speculation about her potential next steps in politics following the 2024 election.

According to CNN, Harris talked another time about running again. On Friday, the crowd chanted “run again,” to which she responded, “I am thinking about (running again) but let me also say this. I served for four years being a heartbeat away from the presidency of the United States. I spent countless hours in my West Wing office, footsteps away from the Oval Office. I spent countless hours in the Oval Office, in the Situation Room. I know what the job is. And I know what it requires.”

The comments are gaining attention for their relevance to the upcoming 2028 U.S. presidential election cycle and have prompted discussion about potential candidates and early indications of future campaigns. The remarks have also circulated widely online amid broader political debate about how a potential candidacy by Kamala Harris could shape the race, with differing views emerging among supporters of various political parties on her prospects.

Trump Supporters Reacting to Kamala Harris’ Comments At New York Convention

The video sparked reactions online. Many Trump supporters reacted critically to Kamala Harris’s comments at the New York convention about a potential future presidential run. “Please do. Can’t wait for her to debate Vance or Rubio,” one person wrote, adding laughing emojis. Another person said, “If God has a sense of humor, he will allow us all to enjoy another Kamala campaign train wreck in 2028.” Someone else added, “Kamala Harris has to be delusional to believe that she has a chance to even with the primaries.”

More users mocked Harris in response to her comments about a possible future presidential run. “She needs to pay off her last campaign debt before she runs again. I think she will not get another loan with her 390 credit score,” one person wrote. Another added, “God I hope so. Easiest GOO win in history. The no party of not one new idea, not one policy, not one plan against hate Trump and wants to nominate the post child for Biden. Please let it be true, just makes it too easy.”

The comments made by Kamala Harris drew attention online and prompted a range of reactions across social media.
