A Black New York TikToker recently posted a video complaining that White people were “overcrowding” Black-centered events and arguing that White attendees were overwhelming events centered on Black communities in Brooklyn. His video drew backlash from many netizens, with some accusing him of promoting segregation and racial division.

In the video, the man said he had become frustrated by the number of White people attending Black events across Brooklyn. He argued that Black communities have relatively few events centered around them and said the growing number of White attendees was changing those spaces.

“White people, stop going to Soul Summit challenge. White people, stop overrunning Brooklyn, Bed-Stuy, Crown Heights. White people stop going to all of our parties [and] buying up all of the tickets,” the TikToker said. He added that it even “irks” him to see White people celebrating Juneteenth, a federal holiday commemorating the end of slavery in the United States.

“Y’all have so many other things that you could be doing. So many other events that you could be doing. But y’all don’t go to that. Y’all don’t go to that because you know that your people suck the life out of everything. And so you have to fester off and infiltrate our [events] constantly,” he said.

The man later went on to tell White people that if they insist on attending these events, it is their “responsibility” to contribute by buying drinks or tickets for others.

New York Man’s Video Draws Criticism

Many viewers accused the TikToker of promoting racial division, arguing that his comments called for excluding people based on race.

The post drew a lot of negative responses from netizens. Some accused the TikToker of promoting racism. “Black Supremacy in action,” one person commented. Another wrote, “Black people are the most racist people on the planet. Having the audacity to make these statements.” A third said, “So much hate in ur heart. You should take a deep dive into finding peace.”

Someone else added, “Do you want full segregation again? White and black drinking fountains? You are a racist creep. You don’t even realize what you are wishing for.”

Others questioned how the TikToker would have reacted if a White person had made similar remarks about Black people. “Can you imagine if someone said I’m tired of black people at white events??? He is nothing but a racist,” one netizen said. Another commented, “If a white group of people created an event with ‘white’ in its name, you’d be the first one crying on the internet again.”

Despite the backlash, the creator has left the original video online and has continued defending his position in follow-up posts.
