A woman in New York did what she thought was right when she stood up for a group of young teenagers inside the lobby of a McDonald’s recently. The woman revealed on social media that she simply couldn’t stand by and watch a drunk Karen physically assault the children while yelling at them, and so she decided to take matters into her own hands. The situation was caught on camera and left the internet cheering for her.
In the TikTok video, the drunk Karen is seen wearing headphones, a dark jacket, and gray pants. The video starts off with the belligerent woman screaming at one of the teenagers. “You don’t know who the [expletive] I am,” she tells him. “You’re [expletive] five,” she adds.
The group laughs it off and jokes about the situation. “Are you three?” a member of the group asks the Karen. “Are you 17 yo?” she replies. “I’ll smack the [expletive] out of you,” she adds before reaching out to slap the young boy across the face.
New York Woman Defends Teens Assaulted By Drunk McDonald’s Karen
The woman recording the situation soon takes action. She approaches the Karen, who is trying to order at the kiosk, and tells her, “You can’t hit children.” The encounter then turns violent when the woman allegedly tries to hit her confronter, and is sent flying through the McDonald’s, landing on the ground in front of the front door.
“Do not hit me,” the TikToker says. “Do not touch anybody.” The woman continues to yell at the drunk Karen, telling her that she can’t hit children and that if she tries to touch her again, there will be more trouble. “You’re drunk,” she screams at an employee, pushing her toward the door.
After the situation dies down a bit, some of the teen boys can be seen coming up to the woman and thanking her, telling her she did a good job. One even shakes her hand.
“I am livid,” she said to the camera after the encounter. “I can not believe I just witnessed that. “And then she had the nerve to hit me back and push me,” the woman added.
In the comment section, TikTok went off, telling the woman that she did the right thing and thanking her for sticking up for the children. “I couldn’t just be a bystander. I had to intervene,” the video poster said in the comment section.
“Thank you for sticking up for the children,” one person wrote. “I admire how you don’t just talk the talk…you walked the walk for those kids!” another said.
It’s clear that this New York woman wasn’t about to let the drunk woman assault any kids on her watch, and it’s nice to know that there are some adults out there still looking out for the younger generations.
