The big game just passed, but people are already thinking about next year’s Super Bowl. In particular, people are starting to guess which artist will perform at next year’s Super Bowl Halftime show. Of course, Rihanna took the big stage most recently and even announced her pregnancy without saying it herself. Fans are still talking about that performance, but who’s next?

Many fandoms have their picks for next year’s Super Bowl Halftime show. However, the NFL wants people who will draw viewers for the event. After all, the Super Bowl Halftime show really became an event after another network hosted a special halfway through the game and stole viewers. The following year, none other than Michael Jackson headlined the show. Since then, each year has been a spectacle, although some years less so than others.

Super Bowl Halftime Show
Mariah Carey

To headline the Super Bowl, artists need more than hits. They need the types of songs that work in that environment. For this reason, some of the most prominent and most acclaimed artists will never be invited to perform at the Halftime show unless they are featured acts. One prime example is Mariah Carey. Mariah is one of the best singers and songwriters of all time. In addition, she has 19 number-1 singles. However, her music isn’t Super Bowl music despite how well respected Mariah Carey is. People would love her performance, but it wouldn’t fit with the event. Though even contemplating who should perform at the Super Bowl next is a daunting task, here are five people we think could pull it off.

An Usher Super Bowl Half Time Show Would Be Awesome

Next Year's Super Bowl
Usher

Usher is one veteran artist who has maintained relevancy throughout his career. No, he’s not putting out the hits like he once did, but Usher has a catalog of music that appeals to all types of people. In addition, he has songs with the tone and energy needed to headline next year’s Super Bowl Halftime show. Not only does Usher have the songs, but he is also one of the best singers of his generation. He serves as a significant vocal influence on singers of the current generation of young artists.

Usher would also be great for the Super Bowl Halftime show because he knows how to put on a show. He is a great singer, and Usher has impeccable dance moves. In fact, people often compare him to Michael Jackson in this regard. Overall, Usher is a spectacular entertainer and could put on a fantastic show.

Fans Want A Miley Cyrus Super Bowl Halftime Show

Super Bowl Halftime Show
Miley Cyrus

Though sometimes overlooked, Miley Cyrus has an incredible career. Not only do fans remember her as Hannah Montana, but she is a major pop star who is experiencing a career high right now. Due to the major success of Flowers and the upcoming release of her new album, many fans think Miley Cyrus should perform at next year’s Super Bowl. Miley would also be a great choice because she checks all the boxes. She has impressive vocals, and while not a dancer, she puts on a show, and perhaps most importantly, she has the hits. Imagine the crowd when she sings classics like Party in the USA and The Climb. Or what about when she sings songs from BANGERZ?

Miley has a long line of songs to pick from for the Super Bowl Halftime show. Also, she is someone fans would tune in to see. Like most of the artists who have performed on the big stage in the past, Miley has a passion for music that shows when she performs live.

Fall Out Boy Is Perfect For The Halftime Show

New Fall Out Boy single
Fall Out Boy

Regarding Pop Punk, Fall Out Boy is a name that appears on almost every fan’s list. So much so that the band has a pretty strong mainstream appeal. Fall Out Boy has been in the industry for over two decades and has songs that are not only popular but super easy for a crowd to sing along to. Not only that, but they are a Pop Punk band that could easily put on an elaborate enough performance to dazzle the crowd. People in the audience would go crazy when the boys from Fall Out Boy performed classics like Sugar We’re Goin’ Down and Thanks fr th Memories.

Fall Out Boy may not be the first choice for next year’s Super Bowl Halftime performer. However, some of the best performances have come from people the world expected to be unfit for the event. Fall Out Boy would deliver and show why they are still so popular with music fans.

Harry Styles Would Be A Good Choice

Harry Styles

Harry Styles is a pretty dynamic performer. His music may not be the usual type you’d expect from a Super Bowl Halftime show, but the audience in person and at home would be pleased. This is because he has a giant fanbase, and Harry Styles’ music is generally very popular. He makes music that people want to play everywhere because he has broad appeal. In addition, a Harry Styles performance at the Super Bowl could lead to a One Direction reunion. While that may seem far off, the boys putting their differences aside and coming together to share the most significant stage available for an artist only makes sense.

While his music isn’t the most upbeat, Harry Styles has songs that have the potential to create moments, like As It Was. With the right stage design and effects, a Harry Styles Super Bowl performance could be one of the best.

Imagine Dragons Would Be Great At The Super Bowl

Next Year’s Super Bowl
Imagine Dragons

Another group that would be awesome for the Super Bowl Halftime show is Imagine Dragons. Imagine Dragons has been around for a while now, and like Fall Out Boy, they have a lot of mainstream hits. Not only that, but the band is pretty awesome on stage. The band’s music is special because the songs are anthemic, which is perfect for the Super Bowl stage. Like others on this list, most people would need to see the performance before they were fully on board, but again, people should remember that many of the best performances come from those you wouldn’t expect.

The Super Bowl Halftime show is a massive deal for any artist selected to do it. Of course, it’ll be a while before we find out who will perform next year, but sometimes the guessing and fan opinions are the best part of the process. No Halftime show will please everyone, but the goal is always to deliver a memorable performance, and these artists would do just that.
