Nikita Nguyen, a popular Youtuber known as Nikita Dragun, is locked up in a men’s jail after her arrest, and her rep is speaking against it. Jack Ketsoyan, Dragun’s rep, stated to TMZ that the situation is extremely disturbing and dangerous.
Ketsoyan went on to state that the decision by the Miami-Dade County Corrections Department is incorrect. He pointed out that it directly violates their protocol which mandates that transgender inmates are classified and housed based on safety needs and gender identity.
The Youtuber came out as trans when she was a teenager, and she has spoken about her gender identity in her videos. Miami-Dade County Corrections Department ignored this and locked up Nikita Dragun in men’s jail after her arrest at a hotel in Miami Beach, FL.
Nikita Dragun is one of the most well known trans women in the world; if this can happen to her, it can happen to any of us.
Trans women are women and belong in women’s spaces.
This is absolutely horrific and should be considered cruel and unusual punishment. pic.twitter.com/jHJgwlRug4

Nikita Dragun Arrested and Locked Up in Men’s Jail Following Hotel Incident
On Monday night, the Belgium-born influencer was in cuffs on a felony charge of battery on a police officer. Per TMZ, the cops were called about someone causing a disturbance and behaving disorderly at The Goodtime Hotel.
When law enforcement got to the location, hotel security reported that the 2019 RHOBH star has been disturbing the premises for a long time. She also reportedly walked around the pool area naked, refusing to stop after the pleas of the hotel staff.
According to the cops, the 26-year-old trans star slammed the door after they told her to cut the loud music in her room. She opened the door and asked them if they wanted more, swinging an open water bottle and splashing water on law enforcement and hotel security.
It was after that incident that Nikita Dragun’s arrest was initiated, and she was locked up in a men’s jail. She was booked at Miami-Dade County’s Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Center on a $5,000 bond.
However, her attorney feels she’s unjustly treated and should have been put in a women’s jail instead.
