On February 15th, a new Nintendo Switch bundle will come to stores. The bundle includes the standard Switch console and dock in black. It also includes a left and right Joy-Con controller, one bright red and one bright blue. Something extra special that goes along with this bundle is a $35 credit towards Nintendo’s eShop. This bundle will be available still at the standard price of $299.99.

Doug Bowser, Nintendo of America’s Senior Vice President of Sales and Marketing stated:

“We wanted to make it easier for consumers to purchase their first game after picking up a new Nintendo Switch system. New Nintendo Switch owners can explore Nintendo eShop and use the bonus $35 credit toward the purchase of a game that’s perfect for them.”

Players can use the eShop credit to go towards purchasing one of the Switch’s well-known or recently released games. Games like Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, Super Mario Odyssey, NBA 2K19, Fortnite, and FIFA 19 are some of the most popular. Or players can explore indie hits Celeste, GRIS, Hollow Knight, or Overcooked! 2. These games can be downloaded directly onto the Switch system and don’t need a physical disc.

Other brand new games that can be purchased include platformer New Super Mario Bros. U Deluxe, co-op action game Travis Strikes Again: No More Heroes or turn-based strategy game Wargroove. Or, if players want to hold onto the money for a bit to wait for a new game, Nintendo has some exciting announcements. On March 29th, Yoshi’s Crafted World becomes available. This game focuses on puzzle solving. Or on April 23rd, the Mortal Kombat franchise comes to Nintendo for the first time with Mortal Kombat 11.

For parents concerned about their children buying digital games with little oversight, the Switch does feature parental controls so adults can manage what games their children can access on the system.

Are you buying this bundle? If so, what are you going to spend your $35 on? Let us know in the comments below!
