Although No Man’s Sky had an abysmal launch, Hello Games has done more than enough to make amends with fans. The developer is still going the extra mile to make up with content updates. Recently, Hello Games teased a new update. And the Interceptor Update for No Man’s Sky is finally here.
No Man’s Sky Interceptor Update
It was today that the developer announced the release of No Man’s Sky’s newest Interceptor Update. Players will get to step forth into corrupted worlds, posing a universal threat.
The game also brings some well-needed PSVR2 integrations, improving the VR experience across the board. You can now enjoy the cockpit of your starship using Sony’s new VR goggles. The developer also brought forth some visual improvements and performance bumps as well.
“Many worlds have succumbed to corruption, with strange crystals sprouting from the earth, and sentinel guardians twisted into bizarre new forms,” reads the update synopsis. “Explore these purple-hazed worlds to find new buildings, crashed interceptors, secret equipment, and more.”
But you need to go through some leaps and bounds to make your way to these corrupted worlds. Players need to get their hands on a new ship class which is stated to be the “most varied starship to date.”
With new worlds come new enemies. Think of spiders, creepy crawlies, crabs, and drones that add a bit of spice to these new corrupted planets. They’re slated to be one of the most dangerous enemies that we’ve seen so far in No Man’s Sky.
Players will also discover and unlock new sentinel starships, obtain new rewards, and access custom wonders in the Wonders Catalogue.
