The ambitious space exploration game will release for $60 and will be available both physically and digitally for PS4 and PC. PC players can also pick up a special edition of the game, which will come with a statue of an in-game ship, a travellers pin, exclusive sticker decals and a digital copy of the game. The collectors edition will set you back $149.99. But act quickly if you want one, as there are only 10,000 being produced.
No Man’s Sky was originally announced at the Video Game Awards in 2013, and fans have been anxiously awaiting any piece of news ever since. The game was later announced to be a Playstation 4 exclusive on consoles, but very little new information has surfaced since then.
The game is primarily an exploration game. Players will start on their own planet, harvest resources to fuel their ship and take off to discover new planets and species. The universe is said to be gargantuan, and will take players billions of years to see everything the game has to offer. People were initially wowed by the game’s beautiful art style, grand scope and tantalizing world and creature design. Adding to this is the fact that the game is entirely procedurally generated. This means that everything is randomly generated which adds to the already overwhelming sense of adventure that surrounds the game.
We only have a couple more months to wait till No Man’s Sky finally rockets onto store shelves on June 21.
