Nintendo’s Switch console looks very interesting and seems to have a wealth of third party support. Yet there are a few high profile titles that won’t be gracing the house of N.

First of all, it seems like Mass Effect Andromeda won’t be available, at least not yet. Because, according to Games Radar, enough demand might change their minds;

“Company producer Michael Gamble had bad news for series fans looking forward to the Nintendo Switch. “Yeah, not right now, no,” Gamble said. “We’re not planning on [a Nintendo Switch version].” But before you get too upset, Gamble left a bit of wiggle room for plans to change: “If the Switch launches and everyone’s just yammering for Mass Effect, who knows. We never want to close doors like that.”

So much for Shepard appearing in the next Smash Bros.
Travelling to another galaxy… but not the Nintendo Switch.

Meanwhile, due to confusion about box labeling, Atlus PR manager John Hardin has stepped in. Because rumors of Persona 5 and Yakuza 0 on the Switch were spreading, he clarified the situation. According to Gadgets 360:

“Persona 5 platforms: PS3, PS4. Yakuza 0 platforms: PS4. THAT’S. IT. No Switch. No PC. Idk [I don’t know] about the box label, that’s a Sony thing.”

 What Hardin is referring to is Yakuza 0 sporting a label that states “PS4 Console Exclusive Game” in the US. Which did give some hope it would be available on other platforms. For the European release it says “Only On PlayStation”.

Why that label made fans think Yakuza 0 might appear on other consoles is not clear, yet there you have it.
