With Black Ops 6 Season 1 Reloaded we got our hands on one of the best Call of Duty Zombies maps of all time, little did we know that this update also includes a secret patch that’s preventing players from beating skill-based matchmaking using an exploit. The workaround, also known as 2 boxing, has been compromised by the developers: you can no longer use the trick to beat SBMM in BO6 and Warzone. I wish they cared about lowering the SBMM intensity like this though.
What Is 2 Boxing in BO6 and Warzone?
So in case you didn’t know, 2 boxing was a way of showing the middle finger to Call of Duty‘s SBMM policy by using a low-level account and putting it in the same lobby as your main. When you started a match in BO6 Multiplayer or Warzone using the low-level account in your lobby, it used to automatically put you in games with people who can’t even shoot back when you aim at them.
Accordingly, this exploit no longer works in Warzone and BO6 Multiplayer, which means that if you play using a second low-level account in your lobby, the matchmaking won’t work in favor of the poor. So even if you’re trying to play with a new friend to Call of Duty, they have to deal with your sweat lobbies as well.
Now this isn’t a heavenly practice to ruin the game for the people new to the game, but it’s fair to say that the only thing responsible for people using these exploits is SBMM. And to be honest, overall SBMM isn’t a bad thing in my opinion, however, I’m definitely against the intensity of it being used in Warzone and BO6 matchmaking systems.
In other words, if I’m having a good game after losing 8 matches in a row, my next match shouldn’t be on the sweatiest lobby possible in the region. There should be a fine line for all people and their skills so that they’re put in the lobbies they deserve. I shouldn’t be playing against the top 250 and I shouldn’t be put against the ones new to the game either. It’s so simple.
