When people take their dogs to a vet or the groomer, they assume that their dogs are in safe hands. After all, you are supposedly dealing with professionals who know what they are doing. You also think that they have dealt with hundreds of dogs. Unfortunately, dog owners can be deceived sometimes. Some groomers might have positive reviews on Google, but end up being terrible. This is what happened in North Carolina, where a groomer was caught on camera punching several dogs while grooming them. This horrific event occurred at Classy Critters Pet Resort & Spa. The business itself has received good reviews on Google, but it was flooded with one-star reviews after people learned about what happened. They probably reported all these reviews as spam because you can no longer see them. Therefore, they still have a good rating.
Thankfully, the disgusting North Carolina groomer was quickly identified and arrested. According to The Independent, she has been “charged with four counts of felony animal cruelty.” Her name turned out to be Kirsten Rhea Taylor; she is 28 years old. We have to thank Taylor’s co-worker because they are the ones who filmed the video. The Sheriff’s Office also described this act as “repeatedly striking and mishandling dogs during grooming sessions.” What’s even more heartbreaking is that it is reported that she punched more than four dogs. I can’t imagine what their owners might be feeling now. I will never forget this video.
People Reacting to the Horrible Behavior of the North Carolina Groomer
Everyone who saw the video of the North Carolina groomer was left outraged. No dog should be treated this way. “Why is my blood boiling! Lets find her,” one woman wrote. Someone else said in outrage, “People in the comments saying ‘If that were my dog,’ I dgaf who’s dog that is I am ready to fight this woman right tf now!” I understand where they are coming from. Someone else was also ready to go to jail if that meant they would defend the poor dogs. “If I saw anyone treating a dog like that.. I’ll probably wind up in jail..,” they said. One more person stated that they would have attacked the groomer. “The way I would put my hands on that woman so fast if that was my dog,” they wrote.
Unfortunately, it turns out that what the North Carolina woman did happens in other places as well. One woman shared her own experience with dog abuse as she wrote, “This happened to my Great Pyrenees. I’m still so upset when I think about it. I walked in on the groomer yelling at her.” The owners will probably never forget this, either. This is very traumatizing not just to the owners but to anyone who sees the video as well. “She punched that poor sweetheart in the face! Please someone report her. Very triggering and hard to watch,” they commented. The only good thing here is that she was arrested.
