There’s a great chance that you’ve noticed someone driving the exact same car as you do. Many people on the internet have shared videos of themselves accidentally trying to get into the wrong car, which happened to be the same make, model, and color as their own vehicle. One North Carolina man took it to the next level when he got into another man’s car and claimed it was his own during a moment of confusion.
A video posted by @shotbystev4, starts off with an older gentleman sitting in the driver’s seat of a car that doesn’t belong to him. The man is wearing a flannel shirt and baseball cap, and seems to be mistaken and confused about whose car he’s in.
By the time the North Carolina video starts, the police are already taking control of the situation. An officer stands at the car door, and tells the man that the vehicle he’s sitting in doesn’t belong to him. The elder man doesn’t seem to understand, claiming that it’s his car, which he parked at the bank.

The officer then tells him that he’s not at the bank, and that he’s still in another man’s car, who has the keys. “I don’t see how,” the older man claims. Eventually, the police get him to leave the vehicle. However, as he exits the car, the man recording notices that the mirror on his passenger side has been broken.
The car’s owner claims that he believes the elder man broke the mirror, possibly trying to hold on to the car to walk and keep himself steady. However, not everyone in the comment section believed his story. Many accused him of using the situation to fix a mirror that may have already been broken.
“We all know that mirror been broken for 2 years,” one person said. “That mirror been broke for six months,” another joked. Finally, the poster had to speak up and defend himself. “Bruh I’m not cappin bout the mirror , I came out the courthouse it was broken , when I went in it wasn’t , he only one near the car so yea he paid for it,” he declared.
As for the car mishap, some believe the man to be too confused to drive. Others couldn’t believe that the man who owned the vehicle left his doors unlocked. “I’m surprised people aren’t locking their doors,” one comment read. “He’s clearly confused, all he needs is contact to be made with family so he can get home safe!” said another.
Hopefully, the North Carolina man got home safely, and got any help that he may have needed following his confusion.
