Not many people would stop whatever they are doing to try to end a fight. It’s a good gesture, but the result isn’t always good. This was the lesson a California man learned after he tried to stop a fight. The short video showed him stopping his car when he saw two women, who looked homeless, arguing in the middle of the street. He decided to step out of the car, asking them to stop and saying that “it’s not worth it.” He kept repeating this sentence even as one of the women, wearing black, started running after the other. In the midst of it all, he didn’t notice that the woman who was being chased jumped right into his car.
It was only when the California man got into his car that he noticed he had an unwelcome passenger. He quickly forgot his likable persona as he started yelling at the woman to get out. During this, the other woman had her hand inside the window, trying to continue the fight before she moved away. The guy then went to the other side to get the woman to leave.
Once he opened the passenger door, he kept yelling, “Get out of my [expletive] car.” Of course, the intruder didn’t plan on doing that. That was when the woman in black stepped in and held onto her opponent’s bag. She started pulling it to get her out of the car before leaving the bag. When that didn’t work, he grabbed onto the bag and started pulling it too. “It’s not your car,” the woman told him, still refusing to get out. The video ended then, but no matter what happened, I’m sure the guy would think twice before helping someone.
People Reacting to the California Man’s Video
Many people found what happened to the California man quite funny. This is why one person joked, “No good deed goes unpunished.” Another person then said, “Be the change you want to…HEY! Get out of my car!” Since the intruder easily opened the passenger door, someone asked, “How can people drive around with their doors unlocked?” One Redditor shared the same opinion, saying, “While true, this entire situation would have been avoided if OP just locked his doors like he should be doing (no, they Auto Unlock when it parks is not an excuse).” I’m sure the guy doesn’t plan to do this ever again.
Several comments also believed that the California man shouldn’t have interfered between the two women. “This is why I put my head down and do not interact with people with clear mental health issues on the street,” one person said. Another person wrote, “You shouldn’t have interfered. Like you said, it’s not worth it.” Someone else said, “This is what happens when you want to play hero and think you’re the main character in a movie lol because reality will smack you across the face in a jiffy.” There was also one person who joked about getting the police involved instead. “People, stop involving yourselves in other’s disputes. Let the cops do what they get paid to do… kill everyone,” they wrote. At least, the guy learned a valuable lesson on that day.
