A family was innocently driving through the streets of NYC when a man suddenly appeared and began chasing after them. He then started shoving middle fingers toward the windows to show his distaste. This move was apparently motivated by the family’s choice of vehicle: a Tesla.
For those who haven’t kept up with the news, there has been a rise in aggression toward the Tesla brand in general. This is due to its CEO, Elon Musk, who has become a target of criticism. Many have started to believe that those who buy Teslas support Musk. Some people cannot accept that, as they have started to see Musk as a fascist after he began copying the Nazi salute.
This NYC man is likely sharing the sentiment, which is why he decided to harass the family who were simply driving their Tesla on the road. The situation escalated when the man slammed his fist on the window. However, he quickly backed off and ran away upon noticing a parked police car on the side of the road.
A Redditor in Action
Although disliking Musk is understandable, harassing a random person on the road is another matter. Many Redditors shared this opinion and criticized the NYC man’s actions. “BEHOLD. A Redditor caught in the wild,” one commenter said.
Another user said that people shouldn’t act this way just because they hate Musk. While they could choose not to buy his products or support his brand, they shouldn’t harass innocent people just for driving a Tesla. “Congrats, you’re now the jackass, and no one will care about your message,” another Redditor said.

This isn’t the only attack that has happened to a Tesla, though. Not long ago, there was a big protest outside a Tesla dealership at Easton Town Center. The protest initially had only 12 people but soon grew to 400 participants.
