When Did Austin Majors Pass Away?
Austin Majors was a former child star. The actor is best known for his role as Theo Sipowicz, the son of Dennis Franz’s Andy Sipowicz character on NYPD Blue. According to the Los Angeles County Medical Examiner-Coroner reports, the youngster died on February 11. The family of the late actor gave a statement to TMZ.
In the statement, Austin’s family described him as a “loving, artistic, brilliant, and kind human being.” They continued by revealing how the late actor was happy and proud of his acting career. The family also revealed that Austin was an active Eagle Scout and graduated Salutatorian in High School. The Ant Bully actor graduated from USC’s School of Cinematic Arts. Austin had a passion for directing and music production.
The late actor’s younger sister, Kali Majors, recounted her fondest memories with her brother. Kali revealed that her fondest memories of Austin were growing up on set with him. Kali also revealed that the former child star liked volunteering at events with “Kids With a Course.” Another fond memory Kali had with her late brother was “backpacking together.”
What Led To The Death Of The Former Child Star?
The cause of the late actor’s death is yet to be revealed. According to the Coroner’s records, Austin’s case has been put on hold until an additional investigation is conducted.
Austin Major’s role in NYPD Blue as Theo Sipowicz for 48 episodes brought him to the limelight. The role earned the late actor an award for Young Artist Award For Best Performance in a Drama Series.
In addition to his achievements, The late actor has been featured in shows such as How I Met Your Mother, Desperate Housewives, NCIS, and others. The late actor also lent his voice to the 2022 Disney movie, Treasure Planet. In the movie, Austin played a young version of Joseph Gordon-Levitt’s Jim Hawkins.
