The final day of September is upon us, tomorrow we can wake up Billie Joe Armstrong. Tomorrow is also the start of the Spooky season. Yesterday afternoon, Microsoft unveiled its Spooktacular Xbox Games with Gold offer. During October, Gold members can redeem Slayaway Camp: Butcher’s Cut, Maid of Sker, Sphinx and the Cursed Mummy, and Costume Quest. With Xbox‘s line up revealed, what does Sony’s October 2020 PlayStation Plus offers look like?

The October 2020 PlayStation Plus offer was announced earlier today. Over the last week, many have grown antsy wondering how PlayStation’s October’s lineup would compare to Xbox‘s GWG. Like prior months, the PlayStation Plus offer gives two AAA titles. October’s free games are Need for Speed: Payback and Vampyr. Members have until October 6th, 2020 to redeem the September offer. For those unaware, the September Plus games are Player Unknown’s Battlegrounds and Street Fighter V.

October 2020 PlayStation Plus

Street Fighter V is a PlayStation 4 console exclusive. The game has received positive reviews from most outlets. Similar to SFV, Vampyr received decent review scores. Vampyr was developed by Dnotnod Entertainment; they are the developers behind Remember Me, Life is Strange, and Tell Me Why.

Need for Speed: Payback on the hand received poor to average review scores. This was due to the game’s micro-transaction system for purchasing car parts. The story of the game is decent overall, but waiting for parts to become available was tiresome. Hopefully, PlayStation Plus members will find something to love here!

What do you think of the October 2020 PlayStation Plus offers? Will you be redeeming both titles or skipping this month? Remember, you must be an active Plus member to redeem these offers. All titles become unavailable when your Plus membership expires.
