Disney+ has released the official trailer for season three of The Mandalorian. According to The Hollywood Reporter, the trailer premiered during Monday night’s NFL playoff game. While a teaser trailer released in September gave us a major taste of what we can expect in season three of The Mandalorian, this new trailer gives us even more. Having removed his helmet, thus forfeiting his Mandalorian status, Din Djarin (Pedro Pascal) is heading to Mandalore seeking forgiveness for his transgressions. The logline reads, “The Mandalorian will cross paths with old allies and make new enemies as he and Grogu continue their journey together.”
Disney+’s Flagship Series ‘The Mandalorian’ is Back for Season 3
The Mandalorian season three trailer is filled with impressive visuals, compelling action sequences, and stunning new worlds. It’s also got Grogu, a.k.a. “Baby Yoda,” taking out a serious threat with no effort. All of these things, as well as the compelling relationship between Din Djarin and Grogu, has made The Mandalorian the phenomenon it is.
Three other Star Wars shows on Disney+ expand on The Mandalorians’ time frame. These shows are The Book of Boba Fett, Ahsoka, and Skeleton Crew. The Book of Boba Fett was released in late 2021 to mixed reviews. Ahsoka and Skeleton Crew are scheduled for release this year.
Along with Pedro Pascal, Katee Sackhoff, Carl Weathers, Amy Sedaris, Emily Swallow, and Giancarlo Esposito star in the series. Pascal is certainly keeping himself busy. Along with playing the titular character in The Mandalorian, he is currently starring in HBO’s adaptation of The Last of Us. The show premiered Sunday night to high critical acclaim. The Mandalorian has remained a hit with critics and audiences as well. Hopefully, season three of The Mandalorian will continue that streak.
Season three of The Mandalorian will premiere on Disney+ on March 1st.
