Fast food is part of many people’s normal lives. Whether they run to the drive-thru for a quick meal on a busy day, need a quick treat, or simply want a beverage. However, not all menu items are a hit. Recently, Taco Bell announced its latest dessert, a Baja Blast pie. Now, the pie is being honestly reviewed by one Ohio Taco Bell employee.
Baja Blast has been a Taco Bell staple for many years. Customers love the Mountain Dew flavor, but will they love it in dessert form? One Ohio employee filmed herself taking her first taste of the headline-making pie, and she surprised many on social media with her opinion.
TikTok user @tmpretty racked up more than 4 million views with her critique of the neon-colored treat. The video starts off with the employee dressed in her full uniform and holding a piece of the pie along with a fork. She attempts to dig in, but it appears that the pie is still a bit frozen, despite her revealing that she let it sit out and thaw already.

Finally, she takes a small bite and then really thinks about what she’s tasting. “It’s not bad,” she eventually says, comparing it to a key lime pie, adding that “it’s not terrible. I definitely give this like a seven out of ten.”
One thing was for certain, the employee didn’t think the pie had an overwhelming Baja Blast taste. She also instructed people to let it sit and not eat it frozen, as that was also a problem she had with the dessert. In addition, she thought the pie was giving more summer day vibes, and less Thanksgiving.
“It looks radioactive,” one person said in the comment section of the video. “Why is it stretching like Play-Doh?” another asked. “Did the person who came up with this ever had a pie before? The pie is giving a mixture of playdough rubber and slime all together,” a third person chimed in. “It’s giving soap and shaving cream,” a fourth comment read.
It’s unclear whether or not this Ohio Taco Bell employee will be bringing the Baja Blast pie to her own Thanksgiving Day meal. However, it seems that the dessert definitely has people talking, and it could be something fun for the whole family to try this holiday season. Of course, fans are looking forward to more TikTok videos of others sampling the dessert as well.
