While Al never spilled on his friend, Harvey claimed he sought the help of the late Wayne Hughes, founder of Public Storage. Harvey believed Al threatened to reveal all about the murders if Wayne failed to help him out of the infamous Bronco chase scandal. To prevent that from happening, Harvey claimed Al and Jim Holcombs met at Wayne’s home where they possibly discussed a way out.
Hence the former KCBS reporter is positive Jim knows the content of that conversation, including what Al told Wayne about OJ Simpson’s connection to the double murder. However, Harvey’s attempts to get Jim talking in the new documentary proved futile, only succeeding in leaving the former LAPD officer all worked up.
