Oklahoma Couple Find ‘Razor Blade’ in Their Mashed Potatoes at Longhorn Steakhouse: ‘That Lawsuit Gonna Be Crazy’

How’d that get there?

When going to any kind of eating establishment, the expectation is that the food on your plate will be completely edible. However, for this Oklahoma couple, that just wasn’t the case. In a now viral TikTok posted to the account @Shotscar_is_back, viewers see the moment the couple finds a “Razor blade” in their dinner from Longhorn Steakhouse. The clip has over 74,000 views and 1,400 likes as social media users get to witness this poor couple’s horrible dining experience.

The TikTok begins with a man recording himself and his wife’s food. However, the couple is already around halfway done with their meal when they finally find a mystery item in the woman’s mashed potatoes. The Oklahoma man then pans his phone’s camera over to show his wife holding a long, skinny piece of metal with her fork. The item is also covered in mashed potatoes and other food, as it was seemingly buried beneath it all. With all of the food covering the metal razor-like item, it would be very difficult to tell what it was in the moment.

Oklahoma Couple Have Close Call at Longhorn Steakhouse

Despite the crazy situation, the couple remained relatively calm about everything. However, the TikTok’s comment section did not. “That lawsuit gonna be crazy,” wrote one user. It seems that most in the comments would like the couple to take legal action against the restaurant. Although they do not mention anything along those lines in the TikTok. Instead, the man would take things up with the manager. The video then cuts to the man speaking to somebody outside the establishment.

It is from there that viewers can see the Oklahoma man walking away with two $25 gift cards to Longhorn Steakhouse, as well as the manager’s business card. The man also states that the restaurant would allegedly take care of any food poisoning incidents as well. It is unclear as to whether the couple had to pay for that meal as well. However, in most cases like this, the restaurants usually cover the cost.

A lot of non-edible things being a part of restaurant dishes seems to happen more than most realize. However, the most important thing is that nobody was hurt. Hopefully, Longhorn Steakhouse will take extra steps in the future to make sure this doesn’t happen again. While accidents do happen, things could have ended much worse. As for the Oklahoma couple, maybe it’s time to find a new steakhouse.
