A woman who owns a variety of beautiful chicken and geese went into her backyard to find something shocking. Apparently, her Oklahoma neighbor let their dogs outside and they got into her backyard, killing her birds. Now she’s trying to take action into her own hands to set things right.
Braelin (@beautiful_braelin) shared a TikTok video of her reaction when she entered her yard to find that her neighbor’s dogs killed 20 of her chicken and geese. She states that these birds weren’t just normal birds, they were her family’s pets. She has been breeding her chickens for years to have a yard full of the beautiful birds, which she took a lot of pride in. While recording, Braelin cries as she explains that the dogs entered her yard despite having a fence. She shows how the dogs killed her rare geese and a ton of her chickens after going through the chicken’s cages.
Braelin sobs as she walks around her yard, panicking and showing the destruction. Eventually, she finds one of the neighbor’s dogs and it’s just standing there in the neighbor’s backyard, watching everything unfold. At the time of posting, it was already two days after the incident happened and Braelin left messages for her neighbors about what the dogs did. However, she didn’t hear anything back from them.
In an update to the video, Braelin records a conversation she has with animal control when they arrive to help. She explains that the neighbors has been “avoiding her” and hasn’t said a word to her since it happened. The animal control officer gave Braelin his name so she could move forward with a lawsuit. She also found out that this isn’t the first time the neighbor’s dogs broke loose from their fence. According to animal control, they were “out the day before they came to my house for the same dogs.” Braelin explains, “So the neighbor knows that his dogs have been getting out and didn’t care what they did.”
Commenters immediately flooded Braelin’s video, sharing their reactions to this heartbreaking event for her family. One commenter suggested, “Press charges. It’s illegal to kill geese in many states. At least have the dogs removed. This is absurd.” Another commenter stated, “Dog fatigue is too real.”
Other commenters protected Braelin against rude comments from people suggesting her birds are “just birds.” As one commenter noted, “Anyone that says they are just geese/birds and brushes it off has no idea the emotional bond you can have with a bird. Birds can be so loving. I’m so sorry.”
