Raquel Leviss and Tom Sandoval have been facing severe backlash from fellow Vanderpump Rules stars and viewers for weeks. No one seems to be taking sides with them, but most recently, Oliver Saunders defends Raquel Leviss. Keep reading for more details.
Oliver Saunders Defends Raquel Leviss
In Raquel’s defense, Oliver Saunders said that people judge those they know little about.
“It rubs me the wrong way how many people I feel like are so quick to judge or say negative things about somebody without really, genuinely knowing the person,” Oliver said.
Oliver Saunder defended Raquel Leviss during an appearance on Monday’s The Sarah Frasher Show podcast.
The Raquel Leviss Sandoval backlash came after Ariana Madix discovered that Raquel and Tom Sandoval were having an affair. The now exes Ariana and Tom had to call off their relationship after the incident.
Oliver Saunder Calls Raquel’s Mistake “A Human Thing”
While Oliver stood with Raquel, he also noted that Tom’s ex-girlfriend Ariana Madix must have been affected by Raquel’s behavior.
“From all of our encounters, which weren’t many, she seemed like a sweetheart to me,” Oliver said about Ariana.
He added that Raquel should not have done something like that to her friend.
However, he added, “but she is living her life and everybody make mistakes. It’s crazy that so many people want to try to crucify her for this or say this about her as if they have never made a mistake or made the wrong choice before, it’s a human thing.”
Another point Oliver Saunders made in defense of Raquel Leviss is the double standards at play. Oliver suggested that Raquel has received more backlash than Tom Sandoval.
“Why people are so fueled against her as opposed to both of them? It’s a crazy thing,” Oliver questioned.
Earlier in the show’s season, Oliver was seen making out with Raquel Leviss in a nightclub in Las Vegas. While he noted they haven’t been in touch since then, Oliver has proven to have a soft spot for Raquel.
Hopefully, costars and fans of the shows will see reasons with Oliver and take it a little easier with Raquel Leviss.
