This article is over 1 years old and may contain outdated information.

Once Human has many side quests where you must find treasures or help the survivors of the catastrophe caused by Stardust; Paul is one of these examples. He is a human you find in the Dayton Warehouse who ends up badly injured by some Deviants. Paul tasks you with finding Kayla, his friend who went to the Dayton Hospital in Once Human for medicine. After disappearing for a while, he fears another of the many creatures has done something to her. Now it’s up to you to find the medicine, Kayla, and cure Paul.

How to Complete the Dayton Hospital Puzzle and Find Kayla in Once Human

Once you’ve accepted Paul’s assignment, your first task is to return to Dayton Hospital. The hospital’s main entrance is located on the main street, just next to the parking lot where the Anchor is. To find Kayla, follow these steps:

1. Enter the parking lot and pass the gatehouse. There will be an opening in the gate and stairs leading to a hallway in the middle of the buildings. The one on the left is Dayton Hospital.

2. Down the next hallway to the left, you will see the main entrance at the end. Do not use that entrance; use the first door on the left to enter the hospital.

3. As you enter, go up the only stairs. You will see a vending machine, and to the right is a room full of medicine. Kayla is inside this room.

4. Interact with Kayla and then interact with some medicines on the last shelf. This will take you to another world.

5. Exit the meds room and go to the hallway to the left of the vending machine, towards the ER.

6. The mission will take you down the corridors until a door closes, and you will see a wheelchair. Follow the wheelchair into a room with a desk and beds.

7. You will hear that a patient will be discharged on September 15th, 2023. Check the calendar next to the desk to check the date.

8. Each door you cross changes the date differently; if you go to the right, it is one month more, and to the front, it is one day less. Go through the doors to the exact date.

9. You start on January 23rd, so go to the right door eight times to reach September. Then, go to the front door another eight times for the 15th.

10. Once you reach September 15th, 2023, interact with the phone to open the exit door.

11. Again, you will find the wheelchair you must absorb to return to your world.

Once you return to Paul, give him the Dayton Hospital med kit and explain Kayla’s fate in Once Human. There are many other missions with sad fates, but much like this one, they enrich the story of this post-apocalyptic game.
