LEA Lab in Once Human is quite possibly, the hardest content in the game right now especially once you start trying to finish it solo because of a certain Season Goal. You don’t have to do that, by the way, but LEA Lab is rather lucrative and is one of the best dungeons in Once Human for mod farming. Thus, I’ve presented a guide to help you overcome the LEA Lab in Once Human.

LEA Research Lab Explained

For the uninitiated, the LEA Research Lab is part of the main quest and will task you with infiltrating the facility to stop Mary’s experiments. Don’t be fooled by the Level 50 quest requirement, LEA Research Lab is only available in Pro difficulty and features Level 60 enemies.

Thus, it’s not a dungeon you should take lightly. Additionally, the LEA Lab is a series of four dungeons each with its own boss fight or mini-boss fight mechanics. Each stage has its own reward meaning the whole LEA Research Lab run can consume up to four Controllers if you want to reap all the rewards.

The four stages of the LEA Research Lab dungeon are as follows:

StageObective
1 – Ice and Fire DeviantFill the resonators by killing the ice and fire Deviant while standing on the respective elemental circle.
2 – Defeat Dr. MannheimRemove Dr. Mannheim’s immunity by filling all the resonators with the corresponding elements. Similar to Stage 1. Then defeat Dr. Mannheim.
3 – Dual Disciple Mini-BossKill the Disciples and use their purple orbs to destroy the spores.
4 – Defeat the Mother of LifeRemove the Mother of Life’s immunity by killing Disciples, picking up their purple orbs, destroying the spores with the purple orbs, and killing the ice and fire Deviants while standing on the corresponding element resonator. Then defeat the Mother of Life.

The silver lining here is that you can halt your progress after every dungeon stage to rest or repair your items and come back to resume where you left off. Moreover, the progress here is straightforward.

LEA Lab Preparation in Once Human

LEA Labs is no walk in the park and it’s built quite different from your usual Securement Silo or Monolith run. There are hordes of enemies here and they spawn infinitely until you overcome the mechanics of each stage.

For that matter, preparation is due so you know how to handle this specific gauntlet in Once Human.

  • Bring lots of Sanity Gummies.
  • Try to bring Quick Activators instead of the default Activators (healing).
  • Fully Calibrated Tier V Weapons and Armor.
  • Ensure your build (gear, mods, Cradle, etc.) is complete or decent and can put out at least 25,000 sustained DPS.
  • Bring a secondary weapon that deals good area damage (shotguns, Frozen Northern Pike, Unstable Bomber weapons, etc.). This way, you can deal with the smaller enemy hordes more easily.
  • Bring at least 10,000 ammo for your main weapon (at least Steel or Tungsten ammo).
  • Bring an All-Purpose Hand for instant repairs.
  • Bring a Living Armor consumable.

Once you have sufficiently prepared, it’s time to move on to the stages of LEA Research Lab and how to handle them.

LEA Research Lab Stage 1 – Ice & Fire Deviants

This stage is the easiest, of course. Just stand on the element circles and shoot the Deviant with the same element as the circle you’re standing on. The ice or fire Deviant also doesn’t need to be inside the circle, only you do. You can finish this stage in less than 30 seconds.

As a side note, this is great for quickly and effortlessly farming mods, weapons, or the Rebecca Doll Deviation (Mistuko). Just reset it after finishing it and restart the stage.

LEA Research Lab Stage 2 – Dr. Mannheim

Stage 2, or the one where you have to defeat Dr. Mannheim, is where the difficulty starts spiking up.

Initially, Dr. Mannheim is vulnerable, but as soon as you deal considerable damage, he will become immune. You then have to perform what you did in Stage 1 (with the ice and fire Deviant) several times while also evading and dealing with enemy hordes.

I highly recommend a Lonewolf Whisper Deviant for this stage to draw enemy attention away from you. After that, it’s a matter of shooting down the ice and fire Deviants while standing on the right circle and then bursting down Dr. Mannheim.

LEA Research Lab Stage 3 – Disciples

The Disciple Deviants are thankfully easy to kill so you can consider this stage as a breather for you and your team. Try to kill the Disciples fast before they can unleash their devastating laser attacks. On the off chance that they do, just hide behind a pillar and wait for their laser to dissipate.

Prioritize killing the Disciples, grabbing their purple orb, and then destroying the Spores with it to halt the infinite enemy horde.

LEA Research Lab Stage 4 – Mother of Life

This stage is the hardest and requires all the knowledge you’ve accumulated from the previous stages.

Once you bring down the Mother of Life to 2/3 of her life, you will need to do the following:

  1. Kill the Disciplines then pick up their purple orbs.
  2. Throw the purple orbs at the Spores.
  3. Stand in one of the four circles with the same color as the Spore you last destroyed.
  4. Kill the ice (white), fire (orange), or electric (blue) Deviant depending on the color of the circle you’re standing on.
  5. Perform this four times to remove Mother of Life’s immunity.
  6. You must do this again for the last time once Mother of Life reaches 1/3 HP.

Feel free to use the resonators, pillars, and your equipped Deviation to avoid enemy fire. Watch out for the Disciple Lasers as they are nearly impossible to tank. With a little luck and practice, you can finish LEA Research Lab in Once Human.
