Acid is one of the most valuable resources in Once Human. You need it to make most metal ingots, and finding it is a matter of killing enemies and hoping they drop some. Instead of going through all that trouble, you can build a passive acid farm. The map below shows all the areas where you can extract polluted water to create acid in Once Human.

What Is Polluted Water?

Polluted water is quite literally water in a Stardust-polluted area. There aren’t many on the map, and the four locations I’ve found are primarily in Red Sands, with one in Chalk Peak. The water can’t merely be collected; you must extract it using a water pump. That means, you guessed it, you need to move your base over to wherever there’s polluted water if you want it.

Red Sands

There are three areas within Red Sands where you can extract Polluted Water. The coordinates of these locations are (4627, -1372), (4650, -2248), and (7595, -1062). There is nothing on the physical map that indicates that you can find the water at these locations.

Chalk Peak

In Chalk Peak, only one area has Polluted Water and its coordinates are (-1187, -2267). In fact, the featured image in this article features the Chalk Peak area.

Blackheart Region

The Blackheart Region is exclusively for players above Level 50. That being said, you can find the Polluted Water area at (4596, 878).

Iron River

Lastly, there is only one area in Iron River where players can find Polluted Water. Specifically, it can be found at (6157, -3371).

To redeem the polluted water in Once Human, it must be extracted from your base using a Water Pump. The Water Pump can be found in the third level of the Logistics category within the Memetics menu. It will cost five Memetic Points and 2,000 Energy Links. To craft it, you will need the following resources:

  • 25 Steel Ingots.
  • 20 Refined Parts.
  • 20 Electric Accessories.
  • 20 Standard Parts.
  • 20 Carbon Fiber Fabrics.

Once it’s crafted, make sure to submerge it into the water on your base; otherwise, you can’t extract the water. Next, deploy the Electric Eel Deviant into the water to power the pump, and your base will start extracting.
