Xbox sleeper hit exclusive from Tango Gameworks, Hi-Fi Rush, might be making its way off Team Green and end up on the Nintendo Switch sometime in 2024, according to a compelling leak. This has blown up on social media, with everyone chiming in on Xbox’s exclusive strategy and whether it’s a good idea or not.
The rumor was initiated by an insider called “Nate the Hate” who teased that a beloved Xbox exclusive is making its way to a competitor’s platform. The insider has a solid track record regarding leaking games, so there is some wind in these sails.
Leak Suggests Xbox Exclusive Hi-Fi Rush Might Be Coming To The Nintendo Switch
That alone wouldn’t be very conclusive, but when other corroborating evidence came from Resetera user Lolilolailo that the Xbox-exclusive Hi-Fi Rush is coming to the Nintendo Switch, it started to line up. Both leakers have a solid track record and this rumor is beginning to become very convincing.
It would make great sense too, as Hi-Fi Rush is exactly the kind of game that would do exceptionally well on a console like the Nintendo Switch. For one, it isn’t very visually demanding with its cell-shaded style, and if games like Bayonetta and Astral Chain can do well on Nintendo’s handheld, so can Hi-Fi Rush.
Some reports have been that Microsoft wants to bring some of its most popular titles to competing platforms. Sony has done the same by ensuring an exclusive sees the peak number of sales, and once they start to dwindle, Sony comes out with a PC port to reach a second demographic. But Microsoft is going one step beyond that and putting its games on competing platforms.
