It’s likely that no one anticipated the runaway success that Netflix original series, Orange is theNew Black, would become when the show was first announced. And yet, all this time later, it’s still going strong; with the first promo photos for season 4 having just been released.

Orange is the New Black is loosely based on the memoirs of Piper Kerman and tells the story of Piper Chapman, whose perfect life in New York falls dramatically apart when Piper’s college girlfriend Alex Vause is convicted of being a member of an international drug ring. Due to Piper having carried a suitcase full of money for her once, our blonde-haired protagonist gets fifteen months in the same women’s prison as Alex. Leaving behind her cushy job and loving fiance, Piper must try to make it through fifteen months amongst Litchfield Federal Correctional Institution’s ‘diverse’ inmates.
So what does Season 4 have in store for us? Well, according to Out.Com;
“Season 4 introduces two new series regular: Lea DeLaria’s butch lesbian ‘Big Boo’ and Jackie Cruz’s eyeliner addict Flaca. Both are still a mystery to us, and we can expect more details on their respective backstory. From the looks of it, the two may have been hanging out since we’ve never seen Big Boo so well-groomed before.”
Orange is the new black season 4 hits Netflix June 17th.
