PC turn-based strategy title Oriental Empires will see a Steam Early Access release in the first quarter of 2016, Iceberg Interactive announced today via press release. Players can check out screenshots and the game’s first trailer at the official Steam page.
Oriental Empires invites players to take control of a city from early Chinese history to develop land, raise armies, and attempt to build a powerful empire. Gameplay will feature 16 unique factions and large-scale battles among thousands of on-screen military units. Intricate settlement development including technology, culture, philosophy, and religion will support advancement through both militaristic and diplomatic means. Iceberg Interactive also lists a number of the game’s technical feats, promising authentically rendered Chinese and Mongolian landscapes, seamless zoom from strategic map view to the inner settlement view, and fully animated unique 3D models.
