Per The Hollywood Reporter, we will be getting a sequel to Monsters Inc. but in the form of an animated series on the Disney+ streaming service. Billy Crystal and John Goodman will be returning to voice Mike and Sully in Monsters at Work, and they’re not the only original cast members coming back.

Jennifer Tilly, who returns as the snow cone making Yeti and a new character named Bernard; Jennifer Tilly is reprising her role as the snake-haired Celia Mae; while Bob Peterson is playing Roze, the twin sister to his character Roz from Monsters Inc.

A new character is joining the characters as well. Tylor Tuskmon, voiced by Superstore’s Ben Feldman, is a mechanic at Monsters Inc. who is working his way to joining Mike and Sully on the Laugh Floor.

Star Wars: The Last Jedi actress Kelly Marie Tran is voicing a character named Val Little; The Fonz himself, Henry Winkler, will be providing the voice for Fritz; and Archer’s Aisha Tyler is playing Millie Tuskmon, Tylor’s mom.

The story will pick up six months after the events of the first animated movie. After learning the laughter of children makes a much better power source, Monster Inc. has shifted how they do business.

There are no plot details and no mention on whether the lovable Boo will be returning to the series.

Artist Wendy Sullivan who has worked on character portraits and more for the live streamed show Critical Role is working on Monsters at Work.
