The highly popular spring anime Oshi no Ko has confirmed an upcoming season 2. This announcement came during the 11th episode of the television anime on Wednesday (JST). Daisuke Hiramaki and Chao Neotomi directed the first season of Oshi no Ko. It is expected that the duo will return to direct the second season. It is also expected that most (if not all) of the cast will return to their roles.
The Oshi no Ko anime first premiered in Japan on April 12th with a 90-minute episode. HIDIVE is streaming the anime as it airs in Japan with an English dub. The company also states that the anime has become the streaming service’s “#1 series launch in the streamer’s history”. However, the Oshi no Ko anime’s instant popularity proved to not be a one-time occurrence. With an amazing first episode, the anime brought a dark look at Japan’s entertainment industry.
