Rep. Mike Collins of Georgia posted a video on X accusing Sen. Jon Ossoff of betraying the state by enabling illegal immigration at the southern border, writing that Ossoff “stands for lawlessness” while he stands for “law & order.” The clip appears to show Collins making the case in an interview as the two men compete in Georgia’s U.S. Senate race. Online users reacted after the post, with some praising the message and others disputing Collins’ claim.

Jon Ossoff betrayed Georgia by enabling the illegal immigrant invasion at our southern border.

The video shows Collins seated in a suit at an indoor event, speaking to an off-camera interviewer with an “Alex Show” graphic on screen. In the clip, he says, “Look at the two candidates, and it is so clear who actually represents the state of Georgia and the people of Georgia and our values, and it sure ain’t Jon Ossoff.”

He tells the interviewer that Ossoff “voted for that Bidenomics debacle that caused that runaway inflation that made all your food and gas and housing prices go up.” Collins then says Ossoff is “also the one that let all these immigrants just flood into our country, millions of them, some of them like the killer Jose Ibarra that murdered Laken Riley.”

He adds that Ossoff “wouldn’t even lift a finger to help me pass that piece of legislation,” and that he “had to get Katie Britt out of Alabama to help me with that because we didn’t have a U.S. senator that would pick that ball up.” Collins says Ossoff “could’ve got it passed when Joe Biden was the president, but he didn’t, and he didn’t want to.” The footage does not show Ossoff, the question asked, or the vote record itself.

How Viewers Are Responding to the Georgia Senate Clip

Some users treated the clip as a clear contrast. One wrote, “Now you’re talkin’ Mike!” Another said, “Ossoff is a travesty to Georgia!”

A second group focused on record and representation. One commenter wrote that “Ossoff had six years to vote the border shut and picked hearings instead,” adding, “Georgia can read a voting record.”

Another asked, “A GA senator… but fundraising in California??”

Others rejected Collins’ claim. One said, “Check your facts!! Your statement is not true.”

Another asked, “Who made Ossoff in charge of immigration?”

A further reply argued that Collins “omits that his own party buried the toughest border bill in decades rather than let a Democrat sign it.”

For now, the clip is one more exchange in Georgia’s Senate race, where Collins and Ossoff are already arguing over record, representation, and the border. Online, the split remains the same: some viewers treat the remarks as a voting-record contrast, while others dispute the claim and say the blame is misplaced.
