Outrage erupted online after an Illinois man shared a video in which he encouraged people to storm the White House and kill President Donald Trump.

The video quickly gained attention online, with some viewers calling for his arrest. He began the video by insulting people and calling them “stupid.” He then said it would be “simple” if they all grabbed guns, grouped together, and then went to the White House.

“And we all rush the White House and actually kill Trump and all of Secret Service,” the man said. He then added, “We have to kill.” He repeated that people have to “kill them,” referring to Trump and his staffers. At the end of the video, he added, “There is no other way.”

After the video was reportedly viewed by millions, many people called for the FBI to arrest the man. An X account, Libs of TikTok, later claimed that he had been arrested and identified him as Ayden Langevin. “I can now confirm that Ayden Langevin has been ARRESTED by the FBI early this morning, less than 24-hours after we made them aware of these threats to President Trump. He is OFF the streets and is NOT a threat to our President now!” the account wrote.

The alleged threats made by the Illinois man could potentially lead to serious federal consequences if authorities determine that his statements constituted a genuine threat against the president. Under 18 U.S.C. § 871, knowingly and willfully threatening to kill, kidnap, or cause bodily harm to the president is a federal crime punishable by a fine, up to five years in prison, or both.

The Secret Service protects the president and assesses threats. On the other hand, the FBI can investigate when alleged threats potentially violate federal law. In this case, the reported arrest of Ayden Langevin came after his video allegedly called for people to storm the White House and kill President Donald Trump and members of the Secret Service. However, the specific charges and circumstances surrounding any arrest would need to be confirmed through official authorities or court records.

Viewers Outraged After Illinois Man Encourages People to Kill Trump

The video sparked reactions online. Many people expressed outrage after seeing the threat made by the Illinois man toward Trump. Several called for legal consequences. “Just the radical left doing their thing,” one person wrote. Another commenter said, “This isn’t ‘activism.’ It’s a mentally ill person on TikTok openly calling for people to storm the White House and murder the President and staff. That’s a federal crime, not a vibe. @FBI @SecretService — treat it like one.”

After news of the reported arrest emerged, several people celebrated. “Keep it coming‼‼! It’s the only way to address the loonies,” one person wrote. Another commenter said, “This is a good start. Honestly, there are a ton of people openly calling for violence and revolution on social media and all should be investigated at this point regardless of political affiliation.” Someone else added, “Good, now don’t let that psychopath out….EVER.”

The video sparked a broader conversation about how threats made against the president should be taken seriously. They should also be investigated by the appropriate authorities. It also led to discussion about the importance of reporting and sharing credible warnings with law enforcement when potentially dangerous threats are made online. This allows authorities to assess the situation and take appropriate action.
