A Houston ICU nurse is facing major backlash after being caught on camera threatening police officers during a DWI arrest, telling them she’d “let them die” if they ever ended up in her hospital. The disturbing encounter, now blowing up on X (formerly Twitter), shows the woman sitting in the back of a Texas patrol car, slurring her words and making racist remarks toward the officers trying to arrest her. According to KTRK, the nurse was pulled over by Magnolia police shortly after midnight on October 11 for speeding. Officers say she took 40 seconds to stop, ran a red light, and struck a piece of concrete before finally pulling over.
In-car video released by police shows the nurse identifying herself as a healthcare worker before dropping the chilling threat, “I’m a [explicit] nurse, and when you come through my hospital, don’t worry, I’ll let you die.” She didn’t stop there, adding, “All your family members,” before asking if she was being recorded. When one officer asked why she was acting that way, she snapped back, “You’re not that great of a person.” The clip quickly made its way online, racking up hundreds of thousands of views and sparking outrage across social media.
Officers noted clear signs of intoxication, bloodshot eyes, slurred speech, and trouble standing during the field sobriety test. She admitted to drinking two cocktails at a concert but blamed her behavior on a “recent eye injection.” “This is so dumb,” the woman said. “This is hilarious because I’m literally going to get out of this because I literally have a health condition and it’s [explicit] funny. You’re gonna be so embarrassed. And I’m also white.” When the officer pressed her on that last comment, she doubled down, accusing him of being racist.

And while being taken to the Montgomery County Jail, she kept the insults coming, mocking an officer’s accent and dropping an immigration jab. “You can’t speak straight because you have an accent from another country,” she said, later adding, “That’s because ICE hasn’t picked you up yet.” She also bragged about having “family” working for Montgomery County and said she’d been in the ICU for seven years.
Memorial Hermann Greater Heights Hospital wasted no time responding. The facility confirmed she was suspended immediately after her arrest and terminated following an investigation. “The safety and privacy of our patients, visitors and workforce are our top priority, and we take such matters very seriously,” the hospital said in a statement.
The nurse was officially charged with DWI and later released on bond.
