Server Shutdown Times for Overwatch 1
The Overwatch servers will be shut down on October 3, 2022, 9.00A.M PDT for US West Coast and midnight EDT for US East Coast. For the UK, It will be 5.00 P.M. from BST, while it will be 6.00 P.M. CEST for Europe on the same date. Unlike other games such as Call of Duty and Destiny, Blizzard will shut down Overwatch 1 before the beginning of the free to play sequel.
What is Overwatch 2 Preload time?
For Conole players, preload times will be 9.00A.M PDT for US West Coast and midnight EDT for US East Coast. For the UK, It will be 5.00 P.M. from BST, while it will be 6.00 P.M. CEST for Europe. This means preload times are similar to shutdown times.
If you are already Overwatch 1 player, you can preload the game, and it will automatically update to Overwatch 2 if you have switched the Auto updates on. Apart from the console, other platforms already have the preload.
When will the game be free to play?
The release time for Overwatch two is set at midnight PDT for US West Coast and 3.00. EDT for US East Coast. For the UK, It will be 8.00 P.M. from BST, while it will be 9.00 P.M. CEST for Europe.
Also, Blizzard has announced these times will be an approximate times. So the game might release a few hours earlier or later than this time.
