One of the latest support heroes taking the Overwatch 2 world by storm is Kiriko. Many players find themselves falling for the ninja healer, but to use her well starts with understanding how she plays. Thankfully, she is not a complicated Hero to learn. Still, it’s important to know how to balance out her support, healing, and damage output. Our Kiriko Hero guide will help you use her abilities as best as possible in Overwatch 2, so you can turn her into your main.
Kiriko Abilities in Overwatch 2
Kiriko acts as support while still managing to put out good damage to defend herself as needed.

- Protection Suzu: Throw a protective charm that briefly makes allies invulnerable and cleanses them of the most negative effects.
Passive Kiriko Abilities in Overwatch 2
- Wall Climb: Jump at walls to climb up them.
- Role (Support): Can automatically heal over time.
Weapons & Ultimate in Overwatch 2
- Healing Ofuda: Channel out a burst of healing talismans that will seek targeted allies.
- Kunai: Thrown projectiles deal out increased critical damage.
- Kitsune Rush: Summons a fox spirit that rushes forward to accelerate the movement, attack speed, and cooldowns of allies that follow in its path.
Guide on Using Kiriko’s Abilities in Overwatch 2
Regarding Kiriko’s abilities, Protection Suzu is one of the strongest ones to use. It can save allies for things like stun and sleep. Although this can’t be destroyed, it also doesn’t last very long. This does pair perfectly with Swift Step as it gets Kiriko to an ally that may be in desperate need of support fast.
Swift Step works through walls too. Keep the cooldown in mind, though. You don’t want to teleport somewhere only for the need to come to get out just as fast and find yourself stuck.
Kiriko’s passive abilities work hand-in-hand in Overwatch 2 as well. With her Role: Support, Kiriko can steadily regenerate her health. Meanwhile, Wall Climb can help her get out of a tricky situation and regroup with her team.
Wall Climb also comes in handy to keep an eye on allies, giving them a better vantage point to use abilities like Healing Ofuda.
Lastly, Kitsune Rush is great, whether attacking or working on defense. It has a long charge time, so time this carefully so that all your allies are ready to step on its path and take advantage of it.
