Racers start your engines! Yesterday it was revealed that OnRush, a game described as an Overwatch styled racing title, will be headed to open beta next week.
The news was revealed in a post to the Codemasters community blog by one of the members of the development team. The post detailed what fans can expect from the beta.
- Interactive tutorial
- Superstar Practice (Solo or co-op with friends!)
- 6 v 6 Online Multiplayer
- Photomode (Only available in solo Superstar Practice)
Alongside that, two tracks and two game modes will be available. The tracks will consist of Big Dune Beach and Volcano Lake, while the game modes will be Overdrive and Countdown. The listed tracks and modes will feature a variety of weather conditions and different times of day. Each will be cycled throughout the beta.
Four vehicles will be available to tear through the terrain as well. The classes are detailed below.
BLADE
Firewall: RUSHing leaves a destructive trail of fire behind
Crashbang: Your Tombstones are blinding when collected by opponents
Tumbler: Earn RUSH directly from front and back flipsVORTEX
Turbulence: RUSHing leaves a disruptive wake of turbulent air behind
Touchdown: Timed boost landings are more effective
Spiral: Earn RUSH directly from performing barrel rollsINTERCEPTOR
Rampage: Refill your RUSH gauge with every successful takedown
Surge: Initial boost usage is more powerful but more costly
Pinpoint: Earn RUSH directly from performing near missesTITAN
Blockade: RUSHing drops a trail of blockades that slow your opponents down
Shield: Give nearby teammates a shield that offers protection from big hits
Impact: Earn RUSH directly from taking down opponents
The open beta for OnRush goes live at 2pm (UK Time) on Thursday, May 17th and ends on Sunday, May 20th on Xbox One and PlayStation 4. If you’ve pre-ordered for PS4 you’ll be able to access the beta on May 15th instead.
