What is that melody? It might just be the newest piece of Overwatch from Blizzard! Earlier today, Blizzard released a video to their social media showcasing a new music collection and what might be their next character-themed event.

The new music collection entitled Overwatch: Cities & Countries, is a collection of tunes from the various maps and missions featured in the game. The themes from fan-favorite maps like Busan, Paris, Oasis, Hollywood, King’s Row, Route 66, and many others.

As of right now, fans can get a taste of the playlist on YouTube, but it “is undergoing rolling releases across several popular music streaming platforms.” A rolling release means that the playlist album may release during different times or platforms according to region.

To match the release of the music collection, Overwatch teased a new musically-themed character event. Sigma’s Maestro Challenge is set to begin lather this week on Tuesday, July 14th, and centers around the newest Tank: Sigma. The video ends showing a crazed Sigma decked out in a wild maestro skin. As of this writing, there has been no news on the Summer Games event and when it might start, but it is common for Overwatch to feature character-specific events in-between the staple occasions.

If you need more Overwatch in your life, the game is alive with plenty to keep fans busy. A new competitive season just started, and the Overwatch League is still in full swing. For the tank fans out there, a novel based on Efi and Orissa was released earlier this year.

Which map or mission theme is your personal favorite? Are you looking forward to the new Sigma-themed event? Or were you hoping for another character? Let us know in the comments below, and keep coming back to The Nerd Stash for all of your nerdy news and needs!
