PAC-MAN is hitting the streets this September on iOS and Android. Expect new gameplay as Bandai Namco is bringing in a real-world map in the stage using Google Maps Platform. This new mobile game, PAC-MAN GEO, may remind you of Pokemon Go but this time with PAC-MAN himself, power pellets, and ghosts.
A free-to-play game that is set to be available in 170 countries, players are able to build their own game stage in real-time on a real-world map. An option to set your own stage to level while traveling is a feature in the game. While enjoying the simple rules and operability of PAC-MAN GEO, players can play while enjoying the terrain and also able to share the fun discoveries.
“PAC-MAN GEO will allow players to experience the real world as the yellow guy himself in this geographic information game.
New York, Paris, Tokyo… make a PAC-MAN maze by choosing from a variety of real-world streets. Go for the high score on unique real-world streets and collect landmarks from famous places all over the world, even from the comfort of home.
PAC-MAN is at last hitting the streets of the real world.”
As of this writing and according to Bandai’s press release, PAC-MAN GEO is still currently under development but they did say that the game will be available this September. The game is currently on pre-order on both iOS and Android.
