Just because there isn’t any controller support now doesn’t mean there won’t be in the future. As Palia comes out on the Switch, the PC version will have controller mapping finalized. Some players might use a Switch Pro controller on the PC, and the commands should be the same.
You should be able to map your buttons to your liking or edit default settings. It’s not guaranteed that it will appear, but you should have some level of existing controller support that you can work with.
