As you travel through the colorful locations of Palia, you will visit many bodies of water in search of over 80 unique fish, and the Cantankerous Koi is one of them. Legend says that once upon a time, Cantankerous Koi was a simple old man from whom the witch was so tired that she turned him into a fish, but this is only a story that will not help your search. Being just an Uncommon fish, Cantankerous Koi lives in both regions of Palia and is not particularly picky about its habitat. But you can find this fish much faster, knowing all its habits.
Where To Find Cantankerous Koi in Palia
First of all, it is worth noting that you can find Cantankerous Koi in both Kilima Village and Bahari Bay. But since this fish lives only in the Ponds, you can not find it in each random body of water. First, we recommend visiting Mirror Pond Ruins or the small lake west of Badruu’s Farm in Kilima Village. If you spend more time in Bahari Bay, you should go to the lake in the Hideaway Bluffs area, the long lake south of Flooded Fortress, or the small lakes southwest of Thorny Thicket.
How To Catch Cantankerous Koi
As we said earlier, Cantankerous Koi is not a picky fish, as you can catch it any time of the day. In addition, you don’t even have to use Bait, so just cast your line and wait for the bite to strike. Being an Uncommon fish, Cantankerous Koi bite relatively often, but you will still have to wait a little. As for the fishing rod, you can use anything from Makeshift to Exquisite Rod.
How To Use Cantankerous Koi in Palia
Once you’ve caught some Cantankerous Koi, here are a few ways to use it in Palia:
- First of all, fish is an excellent source of income, and Cantankerous Koi is not an exception. You can sell this fish for 50 Gold or 75 Gold if you catch the Quality version.
- Secondly, you can give Cantankerous Koi as a gift or quest item to NPCs such as Zeki, Tau, Reth, Najuma, Jel, Hassian, Elouisa, and Einar.
- Finally, you can put this fish in an aquarium. Perhaps Cantankerous Koi is what your interior was missing.
