The world of Palia is filled with many activities and living creatures. Therefore, if you suddenly get tired of fishing, you can try catching bugs. They will be useful to you both for crafting items and for completing quests. However, some Palia insects are only found in certain places, such as the Duskwing Butterfly, which is unique to Kilima Valley. And like other uncommon insects, this Butterfly prefers to fly only at certain times of the day.

Insects in Palia can be much more useful than they might seem at first glance, and Duskwing Butterfly is no exception. You will need this Butterfly to complete one of Tamala’s quests. You can also give it to Auni, Elouisa, or Jel to increase your friendship level. That is why you better catch as much Duskwing Butterfly as possible. However, you can spend quite a lot of time looking for it since this insect only spawns in one area.

So, to find the Duskwing Butterfly in Palia, you need to get to the Dragon Shrine which is located northeast of Killim Village. Quite a lot of these beautiful Butterflies will spawn around this Shrine. It is also worth noting that these insects fly only in the morning and afternoon. Therefore, you need to go bug hunting between 3 a.m. and 6 p.m.

How To Catch Duskwing Butterfly in Palia

Now that you know where to find this Duskwing Butterfly in Palia, you need to prepare the tools to catch it. To do this, you only need to progress a little in the story, if you have just started your adventure, to get the Belt. On it, you can carry Smoke Bombs, without which it is impossible to catch bugs:

  1. Visit Dragon Shrine and find Duskwing Butterfly there.
  2. Aim the Smoke Bomb and throw it at the Butterfly to stun it. We recommend that you throw several at once, as often one is not enough.
  3. Then, run up to the beetle to catch Duskwing Butterfly. But be ready to use more Smoke Bombs.

Although hunting bugs may seem complicated, it is actually very simple. Just stock up on Smoke Bombs, and you will catch as many Duskwing Butterflies as you want in Palia. After that, you can give it to the villagers, sell it for 31 – 54 Gold, or use it to craft several useful items:

  • QualityUp Fertilizer
  • Harvest Boost Fertilizer
  • Buzzy Jar
