Like every other spectacular written work, Pamela Anderson‘s memoir needed discipline to be completed, but the Baywatch star revealed it took a toll on her physical health as she gained extra 25 pounds.
The world heard about Pamela Anderson before she was the sleek diva in Baywatch. The blonde beauty witnessed life in the spotlight during her days as a model for the raunchy Playboy Magazine.
Her frequent appearances on the magazine cover earned her the title of the most Playboy covers by any person. In 1991, she held onto her role as Lisa in two seasons of the ABC sitcom Home Improvement. Career improvement was experienced following her feature on the TV series Baywatch.
This was merely the beginning, the model consolidated herself as a sex symbol in the entertainment industry by racking up more features. The Playboy Magazine star has managed to keep her fame, and this relevance comes from her appearances on TV shows, and her job as an animal rights activist.
But most recently, Pamela Anderson’s memoir is what has scored her a headline feature. The actress, who is set to release her book Love Pamela, sat down with Howard Stern, sharing her book-writing journey.

Pamela Anderson Gained 25 Pounds While Writing Her Memoir
Pamela Anderson’s memoir will debut on January 31, 2022, and with just a few days away, the author got real on her experience as a writer. On The Howard Stern Show, the actress began by stating that it was tough for people to believe she wrote the book alone even as she struggled to explain it.
During the wiring process, Pamela Anderson gained 25 pounds. She buttressed this shocking story by adding that once the book was completed, the weight fell off. In her words:
“It was almost like I was hanging on to something — It was a protective… my puffy suit of armor. I don’t know what it was — I was thinking it was some kind of protection.”
During this time, she thought about the change, leaving her to wonder if it had to do with age. Still, she cared less. The Playboy heavyweight maintained her discipline and went further by not patronizing any glamorous look. She failed to put on makeup yet she loved herself.
Revelations From The Memoir
Anderson was famous for her relationship with Tommy Lee. The actress who has been married about six times and had several flings with known faces had a tumultuous almost never-ending romance with Lee.
In her book which she shared is based on “just one girl’s messy life,” and “celebrations of imperfections,” she chronicled their love life, including their time as parents to their sons.
Despite the ups and downs including physical abuse from the Mötley Crüe drummer, illegal sale of their sex tape, reunion, and a continued friendship amid the split, she wrote:
“My relationship with Tommy may have been the only time I was ever truly in love. We had fun and our rule was no rules.”
The pages of Pamela Anderson’s memoir that made her gain 25 pounds weight aren’t the only source focused on her life as a wife to Lee’s as a parent to their sons. Netflix’s upcoming documentary titled Pamela: A Love Story is also a portal Anderson’s son’s encouraged her to use in sharing her story.
Though many await the release of Pamela Anderson’s memoir and documentary for more fresh details, some of her marital woes with Lee have been depicted in 2022’s Pam and Tommy, a series she has never seen.
