It’s never easy to see police brutality happening in front of you. Now, you would be livid if a cop attacked a minor. This is what one police officer in Pennsylvania did as he attacked a minor while at a gas station. The video shows the cop yelling at the boy. For some reason, he has the kid’s phone with him. When the boy says, “I don’t give a f**k. Bro, I want my phone,” the cop, named Rob, moves from behind the counter and SLAMS the kid to the ground. It was quite the push. He starts yelling at him, “Understand this, son. I’m not going to put up with your shit. Understand who you are talking to.”
The minor and the cameraman start repeating several times, “What the f**k.” What makes the situation more frustrating is that the cob’s partner was standing there watching and didn’t try to intervene. The officer finally throws the dude’s phone on the counter before he continues yelling, “Not gonna put up with your crab. I told you to quit yelling and screaming.” All of this is happening while the young boy is still against the wall on the ground.
The officer then tells him to leave, and as the boy gets up, he takes back his phone from the counter. The good part is that he didn’t walk away with his head down. Instead, he went up to the officer and asked, “What’s your name and badge number?” It was as if he did nothing wrong because he immediately gave him his name and badge number. In addition to this, according to Rob, his victim touched him because he suddenly shouted, “Don’t touch me. Touch me again” in a threatening manner.
People Reacting to the Actions of the Aggressive Pennsylvania Officer
The way the officer, who works for the Ellwood City Police Department (ECPD) in Pennsylvania, acted left everyone in shock. This made people dox him (I mean he did give the minor his name and badge number) as one wrote, “Officer Rob Magnifico, Department firearms instructor, son of late Police Chief Thomas Magnifico of the PA PD in case y’all were wondering.” Several people also stated that they emailed the Ellwood Borough to inform them about the attack. One person had a unique email address to use as they shared, “lmao mine was [email protected].” Another person wanted the cop to face probation as they commented:
“Any police officer who shouts “touch me again” while in uniform should be immediately put on desk duty while they retake de-escalation courses. Should be on performance based probation for at least a year. Oh and he approaches and assaults a child who is not a physical threat. That’s going to be a tough meeting for his union rep…”
Someone else called the cop and his partner bullies. “They’re all just bullies and I f**king hate bullies,” they wrote. There were also accusations that if the Pennsylvania officer is acting this way with strangers, then he must be abusing his family. “Mistook him for his son,” one person said, to which another one replied by saying, “AND his wife.” There was a Redditor who had a sense of sarcasm as they wrote, “What if we gave the most unstable, quick to anger people in our society near limitless authority with next to no oversight? What could go wrong, fellas?” You have to ask yourself why the cop would easily give his badge number and name if he didn’t believe that nothing would happen to him.
