Who doesn’t love when the ice cream truck comes through town? When an ice cream tricker driver drove through a town in Pennsylvania, he likely knew someone’s day would be made. What he wasn’t expecting was someone trying to ruin the fun for everyone.

TikTok user Mistersoftee.pa shares videos of himself bringing frozen treats to neighborhoods in Pennsylvania. These normally put a lot of smiles on so many faces, especially kids. Mr. Softee greets a happy family and helps them choose what ice creams they want. Then, he sees another vehicle pull up in front of him. He happily shouts, “Oh, here comes other people!” Or so he thought.

Driving through a block when I get stopped by beautiful family than a car pulled up. Thinking I got more customers when Karen gets out of her car talking about it’s illegal to sell ice cream.🤣 #Karen #funny #fyp #viral

Unfortunately, an angry Karen hops out of her car, stomps up to the window and tells him, “This is illegal in Upper Providence Township,” and says he’ll get “cited.” She then retreats back to her car, leaving everyone there a bit dumbfounded.

“Oh my gosh, what’s wrong with you, lady?” Mr. Softee says. He turns back to the mother and her children, laughing, as he asks, “This is illegal? I got permits.” The mother of the two children simply shrugs the Karen’s intrusion off with an “Oh well” and goes back to helping her kids pick a treat.

Meanwhile, Mr. Softee is laughing the whole time, wondering why she had an issue, but doesn’t let that stop him. He hands the ice cream out to the kids and then says to the mom, “Don’t mind what just happened. It happens to me a lot.” The mom laughs as she said, “I never heard that before.”

The intruding Karen gets booed online

Unsurprisingly, the response on Mr. Softee’s TikTok video was in favor of the driver, with many happy to see the kids still getting their frozen treat, too.

“Ice cream trucks are part of everyone’s childhood,” one of the top comments reads. The way the Karen tried to ruin it for everyone else, it might not have been a part of hers.

Another commenter felt it went deeper than that. “Some people don’t like seeing others enjoying themselves,” they wrote. This started a short threat, with several commenters suggesting it “comes with age.” She did give off a bit of a boomer vibe, too!

One commenter gave props to the mother, saying, “Love the mom, let’s just move on and order.” She wasn’t about to let some weirdo ruin her children’s fun. There’s a time and place for everything, but this wasn’t one of them. No one was getting hurt, so why be a bother? Save that energy for actual injustices!
